If You're Struggling with Windows Permissions

To delete msdxm.ocx:

 

Go to C:\Windows\System32

Right click on msdxm.ocx

Select Properties, Security, Advanced, Owner, Edit

Select yourself from the list (usually either Administrator or User) then click OK.

 

Click on Edit (next to 'To Change Permissions Click Edit')

On the tick box list, at the bottom, tick all of the allow boxes that you can.

Click OK.

 

You should then be able to delete msdxm.ocx

 

If you have 64bit Vista then repeat the process with msdxm.ocx which will also be in C:\Windows\SysWOW64

 

You can now re-install CabView4 via C:\Program Files\CabView4\Install3\Setup.exe
